We are enjoying some lovely sunshine at the moment although there is a fresh autumnal nip in the air. I stepped out of our back door early this morning and glanced across to see the Mendip Hills in the distance bathed in sunlight whilst the surrounding countryside appeared to float above the mist, absolutely beautiful.
This month welcomes the Wedmore Real Ale Festival which runs from the 18th to the 21st September. A wide range of real ales can be sampled and there will be live music and entertainment.
I think we are going to have a bumper crop of blackberries this year particularly in the garden at Ian’s Cottage where the hedges are drooping with berries. Time to make some blackberry and apple crumble – a real sign that autumn is on the way.
Banksy’s Dismaland Art Exhibition continues on the seafront at Weston super Mare until the 27th September. Tickets are going fast but still available online from the Dismaland website.
