Murmurations of starlings on the Somerset Levels. Thousands of starlings perform stunning aerial displays before coming in to roost. Visit rspb.org.uk or telephone the Avalon Marshes starling hotline 07866 554142 for more information.

The starlings continue to perform.

Visit the famous Snowdrop Valley near Wheddon Cross in Exmoor for a fantastic display of snowdrops.

August

Wedmore Harvest Home . This event began almost a hundred years ago when farmers put on a meal with cider to celebrate bringing home the crops. They are now celebrated by many of the villages in this area. The harvest home in Wedmore has evolved into an all day affair with a fancy dress procession, church service, lunch, children’s sports, tea and evening entertainment. www.wedmorehh.com

Wedmore Real Ale Festival. Now in its 17th year.
